Doug Ramsey, the COO of Beyond Meat, a popular vegan company, seemed to have developed a taste for flesh when he got angry and alleged bit off a man’s nose. An argument that began due to a road rage incident escalated to violence, this weekend. The incident took place after a college football game, in Arkansas. Ramsey, who previously worked for Tyson foods, has been charged and booked.
According to Detainee information from Washington County Arkansas, Ramsey, Douglas of Arkansas, a 53-year old male, with blu eyes has been charged with terroristic threatening and battery—3rd degree. He was released, on Sunday. Neither Ramsey nor Beyond Meat have responded when asked for comment. Local TV station KNWA/Fox 24 was the first to report the incident that took place at a parking garage located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on Saturday. The outlet said that a preliminary report said that the biting incident took place near the Razorback Stadium, in Arkansas.
An officer had been dispatched to Gate 15, as there had been a disturbance that had occurred in the Stadium Drive Parking Garage. The responding officer reported that he had found “two males with bloody faces” at the location. The officer investigated the incident at about 10 p.m. and said that a driver in a Subaru had “inched his way” in front of Ramsey who had been attempting to leave the traffic lane, in his vehicle. The Subaru made contact with the front passenger’s tire. Ramsey had reportedly got out of his Bronco and “punched through the back windshield of the Subaru.”
The Subaru owner got out of his vehicle and said that Ramsey had pulled him close and punched his body. The report also stated that the CEO of Beyond Meat had also bitten the owner’s nose and had ripped the flesh that was on the tip of his nose. Both the victim as well as the witness said that the CEO of the vegan company had threatened to kill the Subaru owner. The two drivers were separated by occupants of both the vehicles, who got out and separated the sparring pair.
