MARKET LIVE UPDATES
The markets on Monday were languishing in the negative territory taking cues from the weak sentiment overseas. The S&P BSE Sensex shed around 600 points to 59,000-odd level, while the NSE Nifty dipped below the 17,600-level.
Broader markets, too, edged lower in trade as Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 slipped over 1 per cent each.
Barring Nifty FMCG, all sectors dropped in negative zone with Nifty IT, Nifty Realty, and Nifty IT indices the most battered in trade.
Among individual stocks, Adani Power hit 52-week high of Rs 427 per share after the company acquired DB Power for around Rs 7,000 crore. READ MORE
