Interest in documenting space travel began many years ago through systematic observation of Babylonian astronomy, marking the first time humans created technology to understand the galaxy truly. However, it was many years before any scientist was able to take on the challenge of venturing into space.
In 1961, a courageous scientist and pilot named Yuri Gagarin made history when he ventured into space. However, space travel has remained a restricted activity for highly trained astronauts who undergo extensive training for the great exploration of the skies.
As time passed, more individuals started contemplating the idea of exploring the skies above Earth instead of staying grounded. This topic became more openly discussed, and an American aerospace company named Virgin Galactic took the initiative to launch a private astronaut program.
This program allowed individuals like Jon Godwin, Keisha Schahaff, and 18-year-old Anastasia Mayers to embark on a mission to visit the sky above as passengers.
Anastasia Mayers is a second-year undergraduate studying philosophy in Scotland at the University of Scotland. The second passenger, Jon Goodwin, was diagnosed with a disease named Parkinson’s earlier in 2014. The 80-year-old also competed at the 1972 Munchi Canoeist game before he was diagnosed with the ailment.
Jon Goodwin said in an interview that he aims to be the first person who traveled to space after being diagnosed with the disease. He said,
"After I was diagnosed, I was more determined to not allow it get in the way, I am determined to live my life to the very best. I hope this gives hope to anyone out there who is facing the same challenges"
The last passenger in the adventure is Keisha Schahaff, who already went to the space earlier with her daughter. Virgin Galactic Space Flight launched the project earlier in August.

The Evolution Of Space Race Adventure
The space race kicked off in the 1950s as Russia and the United States vied to become the first country to successfully launch a satellite into space and break free from Earth's gravitational pull. This competition lasted for several years and resulted in several milestones, including the invention of satellite space flight.
Non-trained astronauts were observed with knee interest as the battle progressed. However, several onlookers were not content as they watched from the ground, and they showed interest in boarding the commercial float flight.
The past few years have been filled with numerous space adventures, led by tech mogul Elon Musk. However, Virgin Galactic made history with their recent space flight launch.
Mayers showed her excitement for being part of the few passengers on the flight, "I am super excited for this and very grateful for the opportunity. Virgin Galactic Cloud has chosen someone else for the mission. I can't wait for the very big moment."
