Summertime is here, and it comes with chances to indulge in sunshine, good vibes, and, of course, refreshing cocktails!

 

Whether you're planning a pool party, hosting a barbecue, kicking back and relaxing with friends, or simply enjoying a warm summer evening, a great summer cocktail can be the perfect way to beat the heat.

 

Are you ready to treat your taste buds to the best summer ever? Let's explore five of the best summer cocktails, with easy-to-make recipes that will add a little flavor to your collections this season.

 

1.The Iconic Margarita Soda.

 

It is a light and lively cocktail consisting of tequila, agave syrup, lime juice, and a stretch of club soda best for its crowd pleasing ability during any summer gathering or party.

Based on preference, margaritas can be served either without ice, shaken with ice, or blended with ice.

 

Recipe for 1

1 ½  ounces tequila

¾ ounce agave syrup

¾ ounces fresh lime juice

Club soda

 

Steps

  • Fill a shaker with the first three ingredients with ice and shake until it's chilled.

  • Pour the mixed ingredients in a glass, and top with club soda and stir

  • Garnish with a lime wedge and add salt to the rim of the glass to give it a fizzy taste.

 

2. The Classic Mint Julep

 

The traditional Kentucky Derby cocktail mix recipe is made from mint, syrup, and whiskey, giving it a refreshing taste.

 

Recipe for 1

2-3 ounces whiskey

2-3 teaspoons simple syrup

2-3 Modicum of walloped mint leaves 

Crushed ice 

 

Steps

  • In a tin or glass, add the fresh mint leaves and simple syrup 
  • Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press down the mint leaves to release its flavor. 
  • Add the crushed ice
  • Pour the whiskey over the ice and garnish with mint sprig(optional)

 

P.S:To give the traditional classic vibe, serve in a silver cup if you have one.

 

3. The Brazilian Batida Rosa

 

The Brazilian cocktail is an exotic and fruity cocktail made from cachaca,pineapple juice, and grenadine, which makes it perfect for any kind of summer event.

 

Recipe for 1

2 oz Cachaca

1 oz pineapple juice

½ oz grenadine

½ oz lemon juice

1 oz club soda

 

Steps 

  • Fill a shaker with ice and all the ingredients.
  • Shake for about 30 seconds.
  • Strain into a glass filled with ice
  • Garnish with an orange wheel.

 

4. The Vodka Gimlet

 

The Vodka Gimlet is a refreshing and zesty cocktail made with lime juice, sugar, and vodka. It is the best cocktail for summer because you have your liqour nice and chilled.

 

Recipe for 1

2 ounces of vodka

¾ ounce freshly squeezed lime juice

½ ounce sugar syrup.

 

Steps

  • In a shaker filled with ice, add the vodka, lime juice, and sugar syrup
  • Shake for about 15 seconds.
  • Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glas
  • Garnish with a lime wheel. 

 

5.Rosemary Mezcal Fizz 

 

The frothy Rosemary Mezcal Fizz is a refreshing and flavourful  cocktail drink made with rosemary leaves, lemon juice, and an egg white.

 

Recipe for 2

40 rosemary leaves from 1 sprig

1 pinch of kosher salt

1 egg white

1 3" long strip lemon zest

1 ½ fresh lemon juice

6 oz light agave nectar

2 oz chilled club soda

 

Steps

  • Get 2 chilled Collins glasses.
  • Mix the rosemary leaves and salt in a cocktail shaker and gently muddle to release the oils and flavor from the rosemary 
  • Pour the egg white, lemon zest, lemon juice, and agave nectar into the shaker and shake vigorously for about 20 seconds without ice until the egg white is emulsified.
  • Carefully uncover the shaker, and add ice.
  • Cover and shake for about 30 seconds until the egg white is very frothy and the cocktail is cold.
  • Set the chilled glasses and double strain the cocktail evenly onto the glasses.
  • Add 2 oz of club soda to each drink.
  • Garnish with rosemary sprig.

 

Note: This frothy cocktail should not be served for the elderly, people with weakened immune systems, and people who are allergic to raw egg.
