Brad Pitt has insisted that he is "not going to own anything he didn’t do" after his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, accused him of violence and abuse during their marriage.

During an alleged outburst on a private jet flight from France to Los Angeles, Angelina Jolie, who is 47 years old, said that Brad Pitt once tried to choke one of the children.

Jolie had claimed that Brad Pitt, who is 58 years old, pushed and hit her and the children during the confrontation on a France to Los Angeles trip. Angelina Jolie further alleged that that single incident forced her to leave the marriage.

The lawyers of Brad Pitt, Anne Kiley, said that all the allegations against the Troy and Fight Club star would be responded to in a court of law.

Brad Pitt's lawyer outrightly denied allegations against him, saying that the actor was not too petty to accept such allegations.

"Brad has owned everything he’s responsible for from day one — unlike the other side — but he’s not going to own anything he didn’t do," Brad Pitt's lawyer said.

Brad Pitt's lawyer also mentioned that the actor was the one who had been receiving abuse from Angelina Jolie. The lawyer said that Pitt has been on the receiving end, suffering everything in silence.

" He has been on the receiving end of every type of personal attack and misrepresentation. Thankfully, the various public authorities the other side has tried to use against him over the past six years have made their own independent decisions. Brad will continue to respond in court as he has consistently done," Brad Pitt's lawyer said.

What Has Been Happening?

A lot happened in the actor's marriage before he finally split up with his ex-wife.

Angelina Jolie, the star of Maleficent and The Tourist, who is also a UN Envoy, had been the wife of the actor before the two went separate ways in 2016.

According to an official statement from a court's official document, "On September 14, 2016, Jolie’s marriage came to an end."

The Court document also accused Brad Pitt of being physically and emotionally abusive to his former wife and children in the past.

"Throughout the long, overnight flight, Pitt was physically and emotionally abusive to Jolie and their children, who were then between the ages of eight and 15," the court document read.

On his part, Brad Pitt has accused Angelina Jolie of being hostile in her bid to take custody of their Chateau Miraval, a French home and vineyard, which they bought for £20 million in 2008.

Apparently, the allegations and scuffle are because of the fight over who would own the property.
This case between Brad and Angelina are gradually morphing in the likeness of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard as fans wait to see the outcome.
