Doja Cat, the popular "Need To Know" & "Planet Her Songstress" Singer/rapper, finally addressed the controversies that followed her shaved hair and eyebrows in a cover story interview with Variety.
The sensational singer told Variety how utterly disgusting it feels to see people compare her new look with Britney Spears, who had to shave her head in 2007 because of her difficult life phase. Britney Spears, who at the time made headlines for her shaved hair, was under a conservatorship by her dad that required her to attend psychiatric care during a rumored mental health battle constantly. Britney didn't gain freedom from this conservatorship until 13 years later, so one would understand why it is very insensitive of trolls to compare her shaved head with Doja's buzz cut.
"It's so incredibly disrespectful for people to be minimizing what Britney went through and make a joke out of something very serious and a big deal in her life. Every time I see a comment like that, I can't compute what's happening, other than it's just an awful thing.", Doja said.
Speaking further, Doja opened up on why she decided to shave off her hair and eyebrows. According to her, she needed to make a change and do something for herself, especially since she wasn't working out or taking care of herself at the time, hence the decision to chop it off, and she's never regretted it to date. She explained that she still wears her wig whenever she feels like it, and the new style avails her the liberty to do whatever she wants.
"It's the best choice I've ever made, and I've never felt more beautiful", Doja admitted.

Doja recounted her experience with online trolls in her interview. She explained that people assume she's weak and not good at handling trolls because she unashamedly responds to them.
"People think, 'Oh, if you're defending yourself, you're weak. But I always rest on 'Everyone can suck my d— from the back,' "If somebody wants to fight me on the internet, I will gladly join in, balls to the wall. It's fun for me. I'm a very messy bitch.", She said.
