Elon Musk may vacate his position as head of Twitter for another person following a poll he made on Sunday. According to him, the pool will determine if he will resign from his role as the Twitter CEO or continue with the position. As of the time of writing, the controversial billionaire might step down as the poll is voting in favor of him to step down.

While Elon Musk stated that he would abide by the poll results, it is still unclear whether the richest man in the world will keep his word or if he is playing around. Elon Musk is rather controversial and can spin around his words when necessary — Nobody knows his intentions and who he plans to appoint as the new CEO. As of Monday morning, more than 15 million votes have already been cast on the poll, with 57% voting Elon Musk out of the Twitter CEO role.

Days before Elon Musk Twitter Takeover, he had promised to replace himself with another person as he plans to spend less time on Twitter. This was his statement in November, but he might be changing his mind even after making the poll.

In a tweet, Elon Musk said that no person could currently keep his platform alive the way he does. "No one wants a job that can actually keep Twitter alive. There is no successor," Elon Musk tweeted

Twitter users under the new poll by Elon Musk are arguing that some people might use bots to influence the outcome of the poll. Elon Musk hadn't talked about this yet as he had used Twitter polls to make decisions, such as when he unbanned the account of Donald Trump and others.

Elon Musk Twitter Makes Another Controversial Policy

Since Elon took over the leadership and ownership of Twitter, he has constantly made the news headlines every week. From the massive layoffs he conducted to the Twitter files which were released under his supervision.

The new controversial decision by Elon Musk on his platform is banning the free promotion of other social media platforms on Twitter. According to him, mild discussions about other social media platforms can be tolerated, but a massive promotion can lead to account suspension.

In a tweet which has now been deleted by the company's official Twitter handle, it read, "We recognise that many of our users are active on other social media platforms. However, we will no longer allow free promotion of certain social media platforms on Twitter."

This policy change caused a lot of uproar on Twitter. Many people considered it an impediment to free speech. Elon Musk has always tagged himself as a free-speech absolutist. The new policy also banned the account of Paul Graham.

However, when it was revealed to the public that Elon Musk suspended the account of Paul Graham, a series of complaints led to his apology. In his words, banning accounts for promoting other social media platforms will require serious evaluation before a decision is taken. "My apologies. Won’t happen again. Going forward, there will be a vote for major policy changes," Elon Musk said.
