Husband Ends Marriage After Wife Loses Her Breast to Cancer

A 54-year-old woman named Kuala Terengganu has recently shared the story of how her husband had dissolved their marriage after she underwent surgery to remove one of her breasts when she was diagnosed with breast cancer at stage four.

 

The woman disclosed the information during an interview with Harian Metro yesterday. According to her explanation, she was terrified when she heard the news, and the poor woman decided to seek medical treatment as soon as she was diagnosed with the ailment.

 

Still, her husband had strictly prohibited her from undergoing the surgery and told her to seek traditional treatment instead.

 

"He instead suggested that I seek traditional treatment," the woman stated.

 

However, she knew that these ailments were not treated with traditional herbs. Still, with medical treatment, so she proceeded to undergo the surgery contrary to her husband's advice and without his consent. 

 

She says, "Despite him saying no, I resolved to go ahead with the surgery as I figured out it is more important to survive. "

 

Terengganu further explained that her husband got furious at her decision and decided to resolve the marriage by filing for divorce.

 

It was said that several people who have breast cancer like hers only managed to survive one year after the surgery, but surprisingly, she's still alive and healthy seven years later.

 

"To me, both life and death are God's will, I am still alive seven years after the surgery."

 

She also said that she never expected that her husband would not be supportive and considerate of her in such a situation.

 

Stress caused by her now ex-husband caused her to suffer a lot of other ailments, such as muscle pain, mood swings, and depression.

 

"In all, I feel so free like I've escaped hell on earth after the divorce, I'm free from the wrong person I chose to spend my life with," she concluded.

 

The woman now lives with her second child and is more tranquil after the divorce.

Breast Cancer Symptoms And Effects 

According to medical practitioners, symptoms of breast cancer vary for different people, while some do not experience any symptoms at all.

However, some of the warning signs of breast cancer might include lump growth in the breast or under the arm, pain in the area of the breast, redness of the skin around the nipple area, and thickening or swelling of part of the breast.
