The long-awaited showdown between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk is finally happening and will be streamed live on Twitter, now known as X, according to the platform's owner.

Musk disclosed in a couple of tweets on Sunday morning that he has been preparing for the fight and lifting weights throughout the day. He also added that all returns from the live show will be donated to charity.

The story started in June when the two Tech Moguls virtually agreed to participate in a cage fight. The deal about the fight was discussed last month when Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of Meta, launched a new Twitter competitive app called Threads.

Musk continually posted on X about the upcoming match. He also shared that he weighs up to 300 lbs trying to scare his opponent Mark and attested that Zuckerberg would likely win on endurance in a longer match. However, he would surely win if the fight was a short one.

In reply to Musk via the new Threads app, Zuckerberg said, "Shouldn't we use a more reliable platform so we can raise money for charity?"

But he added that he is not ready now and gave a later date for the big showdown. He said, "I'm not ready today. I suggest that it will be on Aug 26."

The policy mechanism, technical problems, hate speech tweets by users, and the platform's viewpoint on harassment have given many users enormous whiplash ever since Musk took over the Twitter platform in October 2022. So when the rivalry platform Threads was launched, many users made it a satisfactory alternative that might dethrone its competitor. The app witnessed tremendous launch success that Musk's lawyer, who was representing X, formerly known as Twitter, threatened a lawsuit over Threads, Claiming that Mark was able to create the app with the help of some of Twitter employees.

A Civilized Form Of War

When a follower asked what was the essence of the fight? Musk replied to the user saying, "It's a kind of civilized form of war."

Gareth A Davies, a veteran sports journalist, said the cage fight would likely be the most-watched fight in history as humans are generally inquisitive in the ultimate test of a fight in a playground.

He added, "These Tech moguls have built influence with the platforms they have and will be able to generate massive interest,".

"In the early days, it used to be icons putting gladiators in a ring to fight, but here, it is two Moguls having a fight in an ultimate test for two of the richest, most well-known men on the planet Earth,"

A Threads user asked Mark Zuckerberg if the fight had been formally agreed on. However, Mark replied that it was funding secured about a post made by Elon Musk earlier in 2018 where he said some things about the plans to take the Tesla electric car company into hands.

A Meta spokesperson tardily confirmed that businessmen Elon Musk and "Mark Zuckerberg" are both serious about taking on the fight. Even the UFC president Dana White is anticipating the fight and plans to launch a Zuckerberg vs Musk shirt, which will soon be available for purchase.
