LeBron James Had the Most Humble Reaction After Learning He Had Beat Abdul-Jabbar, Jordan to Become NBA's All-time Top Scorer

LeBron James has once again cemented his place among the NBA all-time greats after surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar'a record as the NBA's all-time points record holder. LeBron James' stats are simply wild, and the new record will be added to his numerous list of achievements in the NBA. According to many NBA pundits, the new feat by LeBron James will unanimously place him as one of the greatest NBA legends. 

While celebrating his latest achievements, fans and critics alike noted the humble nature with which the NBA star celebrated the new feat. While speaking of his newly achieved feat, LeBron James said, "I would never in a million years have dreamt this to be even better than what it is tonight. It's just a complete honor to be a part of this league, to be a part of some of the greats that ever played this game, and for me to be right there at the apex with them."

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was the first person that congratulates LeBron James after their 133-130 defeat to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Although the two have been at loggerheads with each other outside the court, they put their differences aside to make it a memorable moment for NBA supporters who were watching all over the world. At the end of the game, both NBA stars performed an act that depicted Kareem Abdul-Jabbar passing the torch to LeBron James. 

As one of the NBA's top scorers, LeBron James was visibly touched by the support shown by people who came to witness the celebration. During the celebration, LeBron James stated that "to be able to be in the presence of such a legend as great as Kareem, it's very humbling. Please give a standing ovation to the Captain, please."

NBA Legends Congratulate LeBron James 

Many NBA legends and current players have congratulated LeBron James as the one leading the NBA's top scorers. Earvin 'Magic' Johnson and Dirk Nowitzki were among those who posted on social media platforms congratulating the NBA star on his new record. 

Magic Johnson congratulated LeBron James on Twitter, saying, "This historic moment is so special because we will never see another LeBron James. He’s always been a pass-first leader whose ability to make his teammates better is one-of-a-kind; which makes his breaking the record even more incredible!" Many other NBA legends spoke at length about how LeBron James's stats are simply amazing. What makes LeBron James more amazing, according to some of them, is that he is still humble despite the many records he currently holds in the league. 

Many current NBA players, from Stephen Curry and Draymond Green to DeMar DeRozan, Kevin Durant, Kyle Kuzma, and more, were in awe of the record LeBron James broke that night. They didn't hesitate to celebrate him for his great feat. 

Players weren't the only ones that congratulated LeBron James. Fans all over the world sent out their congratulatory messages, especially on Twitter. A Twitter user called NBA muse said, "LeBron was born 38 weeks after Kareem broke the all-time scoring record. At 38 years old, LeBron scored 38 points on the 38th day of the year to break Kareem's record set 38 years ago."
