Famous musician Lindsey Buckingham has been forced to stop his European tours due to an undisclosed illness.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame musician was a former member of Fleetwood Mac and had planned to finish up the three remaining dates on his European tour.

However, a statement released by his media team showed that the Lindsey Buckingham tour 2022 had ended.

"Due to ongoing health issues, Lindsey is regrettably having to cancel the remaining shows on his current European tour."

"Refunds will be available from the point of purchase. Lindsey sends his deepest apologies to all of his fans who were planning to attend and hopes to return to Europe in the future," the Buckingham media team said in a statement.

Lindsey Buckingham had entertained his audience on Saturday night and was due to perform in Glasgow on Monday, Liverpool on Tuesday, and Dublin on Thursday.

However, because of the emergency announcement by his media team, fans would have to wait until he is fit enough again for his European tours.

Lindsey Buckingham's Family Has a Long Heart Illness History

Before Lindsey Buckingham's tour in 2022 was cut short due to illness; the musician had already been operated on for a heart issue in 2019.

The ‘Go Your Own Way’ singer had gone under the knife for heart surgery, although many details about the surgery are unknown.

At that time, Buckingham’s family had released a statement saying, "Our family thought it important to share what's happening with Lindsey with the hope that inspires someone else to seek preventative care."

News outlets report that Lindsey Buckingham's family has a long history of heart disease.

Lindsey Buckingham had lost his father, aged 57 years, and his brother, who was aged 46 years, to heart-related issues.

After the emergency heart operation last year, Lindsey Buckingham told PEOPLE that he was looking forward to reuniting with his band. He also told the news outlet that he wanted to reconcile with his band member, Stevie Nick, who he had issues with.

With the statement released by his media team recently about his health condition, it is unclear if the singer will return for his European or US tours.
