Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused Ukraine of carrying out an "act of terrorism" after Kerch Bridge was partly destroyed.
Putin claimed that Ukraine was the one that carried out the Crimean bridge explosion. The Kerch bridge is a primary transportation link between the annexed territory of Crimea and Russia.
According to reports from Moscow, they alleged that the bridge was partly destroyed after a truck bomb was set up at the bridge. The route through the destroyed bridge is an essential supply to Russian armed forces.
In a video released on the Kremlin's Telegram channel, Putin said that the destruction of the Kerch bridge was aimed at disorganizing and displacing civilian infrastructures.
"There's no doubt. This is an act of terrorism aimed at destroying critically important civilian infrastructures," Putin said in the video.
After the Crimean bridge explosion, Vladimir Putin met with the head of Russia's investigative committee to get more information about the explosion at the Kerch bridge.
Alexander Bastrykin, the head of the committee, said that they had opened investigations into what happened at the bridge.
Bastrykin claimed they had already found out the truck bomb's route. He said the truck bomb went through Bulgaria, Georgia, Armenia, North Ossetia, and many other places.
On his own part, Vladimir Putin alleged that Ukraine's special services did the Crimean bridge explosion.
"This was devised, carried out, and ordered by the Ukrainian special services," Putin said.
Ukraine has done some damage to Russia at the war front with their new counter-offensive, and they are progressively recovering some territories.
After the explosion, Vladimir Putin increased the level of security at the bridge and vowed to retaliate with their own attack.
Missile Blasts Rocks Kyiv After Crimean Bridge Explosion
After Ukraine was accused of destroying a part of the Kerch Bridge, multiple explosions have been reported in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities.
Not less than 8 people were killed, and about 24 were injured in the attack.
Ukrainian officials confirmed the story by saying that Russian missiles caused those blasts heard in Kyiv and other cities.
Other cities which suffered from the apparent Russian revenge strikes are Ternopil, Zhytomyr, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and many more.
Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia is planning to exterminate the people of Ukraine from the earth. He made the statement on Telegram after Russia struck many cities in Ukraine with their missiles.
Ukraine Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, reacted to the latest missile bombing in Ukraine, saying that Putin has no other strategies in the war other than killing civilians.
"Putin's only tactic is terror on peaceful Ukrainian cities, but he will not break Ukraine down. This is also his response to all appeasers who want to talk with him about peace: Putin is a terrorist who talks with missiles," Dmytro Kuleba said.
