Sexy Red and Drake have been collaborating quite a bit lately, and the Missouri native has jokingly shed some light on why that's been happening.

The 26-year-old rapper surprised fans with her new album "In Sexy Red We Trust" earlier this week.

One track features a cameo by Drake, where he raps over Metro Boomin's "BBL Drizzy" beat.

After the song started gaining attention online, one fan humorously asked her, "Are you getting Drake to feature on your songs by, you know, doing stuff?"

Without skipping a beat, she replied succinctly (and presumably sarcastically), "Yes."

Sexy Red and Drake have been joining forces quite frequently these days.

The 26-year-old rapper dropped her latest album, "In Sexyy Red We Trust," by surprise this week. It includes a track where Drake makes an appearance, spitting bars over Metro Boomin's "BBL Drizzy" beat.

Following the track's viral spread online, a fan cheekily inquired, "Are you getting Drake to feature on your songs by, uh, being close?" Her response was quick and to the point (and likely sarcastic): "Yes."

Drake has developed a strong bond with Sexy Red ever since her rise to fame last year, often referring to her as his inspiration. During his It’s All a Blur — Big As the What?

Tour alongside J. Cole and Lil Durk, the Canadian superstar gave her a special title.

"Red is really my muse in this short and confusing life," he declared in the caption of his Instagram post.

In the same month, Sexy Red was chosen to portray the mother of Drake’s child in their music video collaboration, "Rich Baby Daddy," featured on "For All the Dogs."

During his recent tour with J. Cole and Lil Durk, he honored her with a special title.

"Red is really my muse in this short and confusing life," he wrote in an Instagram post.

That same month, Sexy Red landed a role in Drake’s music video for their collaboration, "Rich Baby Daddy," featured on his album "For All the Dogs."

Drake previously referred to the St. Louis MC as his “rightful wife” during their meet-up at his concert in New York last summer.

A viral photo captured the moment when the OVO Sound boss planted a passionate kiss on Sexy Red’s cheek as she cozied up to him and caressed his face.

In early April, Joe Budden stirred up controversy by alleging that Drake is being paid to promote Sexy Red. On an episode of his podcast, the former Slaughterhouse rapper offered his theory on why Drizzy is closely associating himself with Red.

“Respectfully, it sounds like a rapper at that level who gets paid off of everyone's deals trying to rap. That's what it sounds like to me,” he claimed. “Oh, you think he just likes being around Sexy Red that much? … I can name some more people.”

Red responded with a short and straightforward message, posting on X (formerly Twitter), “They so dumb."
