Jelly Roll's Instagram account, with over two million followers, has been inactive for almost 2 weeks; he reportedly left Instagram after he was bullied for his body size and weight.

On April 9th, the 39-year-old rapper and songwriter shared a picture of himself on his Instagram page in a bid to promote his appearance on the ongoing American idol show, but Jelly has been gone AWOL ever since.

Jelly Roll's wife, speaking in defence of her husband, says the unending criticism about his body weight hurts him so much.

Talking to her podcast channel, Dumb Blonde, Jelly Rolls's wife says, "My husband took time off the internet because he is sick of the constant bullying about his body weight, and that almost pushed me to tears because he is the sweetest baby soul."

"They say the internet can say anything about you, and you're supposed to handle it because you are a celebrity, well we are not; enough of the critics."

Bunnie went ahead to discuss the importance of thinking well before writing a comment on anyone's social media accounts.

"Never bully people because you have no idea how they are faring mentally. There are several people on the internet who are not as mentally strong as I am, they do not deserve to be bullied," she said.

After Jay Roll's Instagram account went silent, he has been receiving encouragement and support from other music artists.

On Wednesday, American rapper and hype man Flavor Flav also spoke up about Jelly Roll being bullied using his X account formerly called Twitter.

He called out the users who shared the hateful comments and also shared a video of Jay Roll's wife speaking about the effect of the unhealthy bully on her husband on his Instagram story.

"You all bullied one of the NICEST GUY off the internet, man is helping many people better their lives every day, LOVE me some Jelly Roll and Bunnie, NOT COOL," wrote Flav.

He further said: "The Son of Sinner does so much for the community through his music and activism and does not deserve to be amid such vitriol.

Flav also emphasized the importance of commenters being conscious of the impact their words can have on the individual on the other end of the phone.

In a candid conversation with People about his health and weight loss journey, Jelly Roll opened up by saying he once weighed almost 500 pounds, but he recently lost over 70 pounds training for the California 2 Bears 5k.

"I should be down a little over 70 pounds", he said.

Jelly Roll also mentioned he undertakes rigorous exercises to maintain a healthy weight.

"I've been kicking so much man, I've been doing two to three miles four or six days a week, I do cold plunge six minutes every day, I also eat more healthy now."
