The former spouse of former President Donald Trump, Ivana Trump, passed away at the age of 73.

She passed away at her New York City home, according to the former president.

Donald Trump's first wife was Ivana. Eric Trump, Ivanka Trump, and Donald Jr. are their three children together.

The Trump family released a statement saying, "Our mother was a remarkable woman — a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and compassionate mother and friend."

Ivana Trump "taught her children about courage and toughness, kindness and drive," the family stated. "Ivana Trump was a survivor. She emigrated from communism and loved this country." Her mother, her three children, and her ten grandkids will all miss her terribly.

Just after 12:30 p.m., Manhattan paramedics responding to a call for cardiac arrest discovered a 73-year-old woman in Ivana Trump's Upper East Side apartment. according to the FDNY, on Thursday. The NYPD reported that she was pronounced deceased at the site.

According to police sources, Ivana Trump was discovered unconscious and unresponsive at the foot of a flight of stairs at her apartment. The police are looking into whether she fell and, if so, whether the incident had a role in her demise. Her cause of death will be determined by a medical examiner, according to authorities.

"Brilliant, charming, passionate, and wickedly witty," was how Ivanka Trump described her mother.

Ivanka Trump shared a childhood photo of herself with her mother on Twitter along with the statement, "She loved life to the fullest — never forgoing an opportunity to laugh and dance." "I shall miss her always, and we will never forget her," she said.

Ivana Trump, real name Ivana Marie Zelnková, was raised in the former Czechoslovakia under communist control. She left in the 1970s, and in 1977, she wed Donald Trump.

She was a senior executive who spent years working for Trump's corporate empire. She contributed with the interior design of the Grand Hyatt Hotel and Trump Tower and was named CEO of Trump's Castle, one of his hotel casinos in Atlantic City. She also started her own clothing brand and wrote several best-selling novels.

In 1992, Ivana and Trump got divorced. When it came out that the former president had an affair with Marla Maples, who would later become his second wife, their marriage fell apart.
