The incident resulted in the death of a volunteer fire chief and injuries to two bystanders, marking one of the most horrific shootings in presidential election history.
Speaking from behind a bulletproof glass, Trump honored the victims, calling the site "a place of tragedy and heartache." He also reaffirmed his commitment to victory in the November polls, promising to restore respect to the US and secure its borders. During his speech, he also said, "You deserve a government that protects and respects its citizens, defends sovereignty, security, dignity, and freedom."
